Greetings I am the Superrider; and it's time for some epic awesomeness. So I haven't done a critique in a while; so I decided to go ahead to do another one. This time it's a Mega Man picture; my first one. So, what I really like about this picture is the colors. The colors are very good. What I think is also very good is the way Mega Man is drawn, the artist is very good in drawing in that anime style. One thing that I don't really understand is the way Mega Man's armor is positioned. It looks like he twisted his upper body around way too far. Also I think that the face is a bit too cute like. I mean I know it's anime and anime tries hard to be cute, but I think Mega Man's face could've been a bit less cute faced. But still I really do like this picture. It's anime and coloring at it's maximum efficiency.
I like it! It is very detailed and things, but the face looks blurry a little bit. everything else is fine. Megaman's face could need a little bit more serious faced like he is about to jump into a battle In Super Smash Bros. Brawl 4. Too cute though! everything else is fine. I like the background! I have seen your sketch of megaman also! Sometimes i think about why it looks like he has underpants on. xD It is beautifully animated and is very cute and loving and feels like you just want to hug him! (a metaly hug)
I absolutely adore the Blue Bomber in your art style! I also love how Smash Bros gave him a new version of his classic outfit! It really fits with the present times, and makes him look more futuristic in a sense
Man this really makes me hyped as ever for the next Smash!
And awesome work on this illustration of the blue bomber! I'm really digging his new design for the game. I've always been a believer in the "keep it simple" method, and I think this all comes together very nicely.
I agree with you by the way, a new Mega Man game with modern graphics would be the only thing that could prove Capcom still gives a damn about their mascot. I'd vote for an FPS or maybe something Other M-like in gameplay style. But even a 2.5D game would be good. Or Legends 3.
But I'm excited for him Smash Bros. because he's in the hands of someone who can actually use him well. You say Capcom is making Nintendo do all the work, but I say that's a good thing, because otherwise it'd be half-assed and pathetic like most of Capcom's attempts to keep customers recently.
As to the picture, it's as good a job as always. I'm a bit irked that they chose to keep Mega Man based more on his original art than his Mega Man 8 and Bass art, which I personally prefer. Especially when they went to the trouble of giving Pit a new look for Brawl. But Mega Man is still Mega Man. And as always you more than do him justice.
