Bunnie Rabbot D'Coolette by rongs1234 Bunnie Rabbot D'Coolette by rongs1234
I follow the Archie comics tumblr where they post mostly Archie panels out of context which can be amusing, but awhile ago they posted some pics of an issue of the Sonic comic, and I thought Bunnie's re-roboticized looked cool so I drew it.

There is one thing I don't understand about her design, and this goes back to her original part robot form too. How dose that robot arm stay attached to her shoulder? I wonder how she would look if they made more of her shoulder and collar bone area more robotic, so maybe it looked like what Edward Elric has in Full Metal Alchemist.

Oh almost forgot, I sent this into the Archie comics fanart email, so if any of you have subscriptions and see the pic show up let me know please, thanks ^-^

When I come up with alternate designs for her I often include a bit of metal around her shoulder to show how the connection works. With the canon designs I assume that some of her shoulder is mechanical under the skin (in fact, not that this is ever brought up, but for her to be lifting the heavy objects she sometimes does, her entire spine would have to be reinforced; my headcanon is that it is, but again it's entirely under the skin).

I like how you draw it, but I don't like the way Bunnie's new limbs are drawn. She is more curvy than thin, so the spaghetti legs look weird on her. She needs more hip definition like Rouge.

Bunnie's new look has really grown on me, though it depends on the artist

Totes saw this is a Sonic comic! Loved getting to see it(I wasn't used to your name, so I almost thought someone took it, but I think I remembered seeing it somewhere before, so that helped me realize it was definitely you)

I still feel like Archie should hire you one day to draw for them(or at least do either a side story, or even a small little three panel comic - forgot what the Sonic comics call it since I also read the Mega Man comics)

That is kind of a good question
but since roboticization seems to be kind of magical in this universe, i mean, it seems to convert body parts directly into their robot equivalent.. so if the process started with her legs and arm but didn't get as far as her collarbone area, that just means the organic bones and tendons are connected to the robot parts..  quite possibly if you cut her shoulder open you'd see some transitional bits that are a mixture of both.

I like this design of Bunnie. At this point, I've been liking the redesigns of a majority of the Sonic characters.

Awesome Bunnie artwork, I'll be sure to keep a look out for it on the Art Page. I remember seeing a Megaman/Sonic one during the Worlds Collide Crossover. Awesome artwork!

One thing I had loved about this redesignes, is that they made their hair look as part of their fur (as happens with Knuckles or Amy). It's nice because seems more correct for furry characters than having a diferent colored hair for no reason..

Anyway, you bunny looks very cute, I really liked her face =]

Interesting point. It indeed seems like the arm is supported by her own body, which doesn't seem plausible.
Anyway, swet piece!

It would probably work like Ed's arm in FMA, wrapped around the shoulder and collarbone. Maybe it works realistically like a prosthetic, even though in this cartoon world that would make it boring!

This is brilliant! Rabbot's always been one of my fave characters of the Archie comics, and you've done a really good job on this fanart of her. :)

And I never considered that about her robot arm. It's a good question and has me wondering about it too. You never know, you could always have a test try of a design more befitting her arm, if you ever find the chance, and see what it looks like.

Anyway, again, a really good job on this, you have the Archie comic style there, as well as your own. :)

Beautiful Bunnie! I hadn't read any of the comics in years. last issue that I had owned was like issue 5 from around 1999 or 2000, Bunnie has always been my fav character. :D
