I was watching game grumps awhile back when they where playing Super Mario Bros 2, and they pointed out how when Luigi shirks his head stays huge then i thought it must be hard to keep a head up that's the same size as your body, and that's how this pic came to be.
Did a bit of experimenting with picking colors in this pic, mostly used it on the "!" and the spiky hurt mark thing. I also tried using a smaller brush for the lines in the BG like a friend suggested, then lightened the BG layers the further back the went which makes the characters in the foreground pop which i wanted. Dunno why i i wanted to put news print effect on the BG but i looks cool and I made it different sizes too to match how faraway it is.
Also experimented with their expressions a little, i think they came out ok.

Overall
Vision Originality Technique Impactyay, another critique! and it's a game grumps-based one too! this will be fun. i suppose.
what i liked:
-vibrant colour palette. it's a bit hard on the eyes (brighter than super mario advance, even,) but i like it a lot! really adds a lot of personality to luigi and the shy guy.
-composition of the lineart. the thick lines you used as bordering work extremely well with your colouring.
-the expressions... wow! they're great! very cartoony but don't stray far from the typical mario style.
-nice use of lines to show movement, especially with the motion blur.
what i felt you could improve on:
-it kind of feels like the background is a backdrop, instead of a setpiece interacting with the main picture. just my two cents, though.
-luigi's not dressed like a mayor. it would be easier for him to flee when death approaches.
overall, nicely done!
