Description
After seeing the episode of the “Legend of Korra” where they showed how ancient airbenders could ride clouds I couldn’t help but think about Goku in dragon ball riding the nimbus cloud. So i tried to draw the cast of Avatar TLAB as if they where on the cover of a Dragon Ball manga. Aang is clearly based on Goku and Krillin, Katara is based on Bulma, and Sokka was suppose to be based on Yajirobe, I just kind of had to make up Tophs, Appa and Momo’s designs for that style.That Kanji might be a little off, but i got it from the Avatar wiki.
I wanted to post this last night but DA was like broken for me

Vision Originality Technique ImpactThe concept for this is very unique, I (a fan of crossovers) never would have thought of it myself. What I like most is the successful emulation of the Dragon Ball manga style, with the expressions and curvy cloud styles. And with the digital coloring and shading, this looks like something real, like something I could actually find and pick up from a bookstore. I can't read Japanese, but it was still a great touch to make it even more authentic looking. And of course the overall costumes and appearance of the characters is accurate to the AtLA series which adds to the delight in looking at this piece.
