I recently got a SEGA Saturn for Easter, and Astal was one of the first games I got for it (alongside BUG Too! and Earthworm Jim 2). Despite SEGA's lack of attention to the packaging (I'm dead serious. Unlike other Saturn games, the name of the game isn't on the side...) and instructional lies (2 continues?! Then why is it when I die the 2nd time I get Game Over? Lying Sack of Shit...), I think that this game is a great platformer with beautiful visual presentation and character animation, but also manages to be a hard S.O.B...
Yeah that game can be hard, and i think you can change how many lives and continues you have in the options. I used to know a code that would make you invincible, but it also prevents you from falling to your death, so if you fell in that cloud level you might not be able to finish the game at all
It's just a shame that The Game Didn't Sell so well, Because Astal is Truely a 2D Classic Game With Beautiful Detailed Hand-Drawn Graphics, I can give some reasons why Astal did not sell well, But Man This game needs to be re-released or remaded at least, I don't care what Sega Does, Anything to bring astal back into the light! >w<
