I wanted to draw some thing today but couldn't think of what and then i saw a bunch of fan art of the new April from the new TMNT show. I really like pic, i think it has a nice mix of my style and the shows style
This is also one of those shows that I didn't think would be good but this is one of those times that I am happy to be wrong.
Oh where to begin? XD I love this! It looks very cute. I (obviously by the name) love the pairing of Donatello and April. I literally yell at people if they say they don't like this pairing XD I believe one day they are gonna kiss! And I doubt this "Casey Jones" kid will last. Hers not Aprils type. As much as I hate him I can't wait for Donnie's reaction! It'll be priceless! XDDDD oh how I wish the day would come sooner where I get to watch that episode XD and do all-in-app I really love this work keep at it!
I think you got the show's proportions very well and Donnie's chibi lovestruck face is a great detail. I like that she has earrings and that the hair has actual movement, in the show it doesn't move at all but i expected that for the animation style. She is blushing wich is cute and the expretion is innocent yet almost flirty, Don would love that. Her outfit has more details than what's seen on first glance and you got them very well with maybe only one forgotten detail. The shadows and illumination work well in most of it, only one of the boots calls my attention for it, well done.
I haven't seen the recent series, but I am willing to give it a try! I heard some good things about it, and I heard Jason Biggs, Rob Paulsen, Kevin Michael Richardson, and even Mae Whitman are all in the new show. The first time I heard of Mae Whitman was in the 1996 film Independence Day with Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, and Will Smith. Mae Whitman was the daughter of Bill Pullman and his movie wife, Mary McDonnell. Mary McDonnell was the white woman raised by the tribe in Dances With Wolves who became Kevin Costner's significant other after her husband died. Her name was Stands With a Fist. Oh, and Mae Whitman was also Katara in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Mae Whitman is also the daughter of actress Pat Musick. This new series, on another note, is the third incarnation of the original Kevin Eastman/Peter Laird comic book, coming after the original series from the 1980s–1990s, and the 2003 series. I too have a character named April, but she's a brunette and her surname is Cummings, after the famous voice artist Jim Cummings (he voiced Leatherhead the mutant alligator in the original Ninja Turtles). But enough about these tidbits of information, this is definitely good!
